Good Evening!

Ah, the joys of the 2 1/2 year old. Not old enough to necessarily understand that taking a flying leap off the bed on to a pile of pillows is a BAD idea...just that it is fun. And, even though mom says NO....DON'T....they still take that jump. UGH. I love him to pieces but gosh, Loki is rough. He is definately all boy. Thankfully, after bouncing, no broken bones, but for a minute, my heart skipped a beat. I had heard him giggling and talking to the cat in our bedroom, and went to investigate. He had stacked a bean bag with pillows a short distance from the bed. I walked in as he decided to make a jump for them.

I am not sure what I am going to do, when he gets old enough to go out riding his bike by himself....I can just see him doing tricks and jumps at the first chance he gets.

Today we went to see the Winnie the Pooh Huffalump movie....not bad....Loki actually sat though most of it, and laughed, and sang. It made me smile.

Loki is doing well. Blood counts are good, and he is growing like a weed. He is about an inch taller than last month and 27.5 lbs. He is back on the growth charts, still alittle underweight/underheight for his age, but all things considered, this was expected.

He is having nightmares though...monsters and the like....I am guessing night terrors are normal for this age...sometimes, it involves doctors though.? I think I am going to have to speak with Child Life at the hospital. It may be time to have him start seeing a counselor, or planning to see one beginning around age 3. He has also been having issues with his stoma. He gets really upset at bath time, that his pouch comes off, but his stoma will not. He seems to think that it should, and it really bothers him to the point of tears. This doesn't happen often, but really is disturbing when it does. No matter how much we try to explain that it is alright and that the stoma is a proper part of him, he still is visably upset.

Loki's next doctors appointment is March 15th complete with scans. I will post as soon as we know results. He sees orthopedics in April to reassess the status of his hips, and determine if they are growing as they should.

Good Morning!

I just wanted to say Happy Mardi Gras!

Loki made a mask in daycare yesterday....and was wearing it when we went to pick him up. Very stylish for a 2 1/2 year old.

His next oncology appointment is 2/15, with scans in March.

We did have a scare the other weekend, as Loki had a small amount of rectal bleeding coupled with a fever of 103. However, that appeared to have just been a coincidence.

Happy Feb. everyone!
