Loki's Journey

Good Morning!

Loki's xrays yesterday looked good. According to the doctor he has no apparent hip/bone abnormalities, and the growth plates look normal. And, I think so too, Loki is running, jumping, and moving about with no apparent discomfort.

However, I am really not happy with this doctor, and will seeking a second opinion. I do agree with him that Loki's hip xrays look normal, but I am no expert.

This particular doctor did not even remember we were there previously, or why Loki was even seeing him. He thought Loki was there becuase I, as the mom, thought his hips looked funny.

I would think that reviewing the patients chart would be a normal, routine thing, and that having had radiation to the hip area for cancer therapy "might" pop out at you as you are reviewing a chart, as a reason to monitor bone growth.

So, I will not be going back to him, and will be having another doctor look at Loki's xrays, one that will Loki at both sets of xrays, and I don't know, maybe compare them, before telling me all is well.

I don't know, maybe its me, but this is my son, and he deserves to have his doctors KNOW why he is even there in the first place.
